The compulsory health insurance system used in our country is a social one. The basic task of the system is to cover the costs of the health sector in providing services for the treatment and prevention of diseases for its beneficiaries - people who have insured their financial risk in case of illness. The system of compulsory health insurance is based on the principle of solidarity on the one hand, and obligation on the other. The health insurance contribution is mandatory as in the case of other taxes, duties and mandatory payments to the state or to the service providers. Therefore, the state provides to some extent health-related expenses in exchange for a paid contribution.en_US
