The living conditions of the population are one of the factors that directly influence the state of public health as a component of the quality of life. Based on the fact that the quality of life as a socio-economic category is very dynamic in terms of content, the author tries to prove that depending on the economic development of the country and the political situation in the world, the priority of factors influencing quality of life changes. For example, the impact of the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019-2021 on citizens, from the perspective of participation in employment, material living conditions and wellbeing, identified the main role of living conditions in ensuring quality of life, and the recession and economic crisis have changed the order of the countries where everyone wanted to live. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in 2020 made a list of the countries with the best quality of life, and the result is different from what it was before, as the Quality-of-Life Index has been adjusted according to the value of the Index. of Social Progress. In the situation caused by the economic crisis during the pandemic, factors such as unemployment, life expectancy and free time were taken into account. Finally, the recession and the economic crisis have changed the order of the countries in the international top according to the Quality-of-Life Indices, which confirms that living conditions greatly influence the quality of life.en_US
