For many countries around the world, tourism is the main source of income, but climate change can significantly change the geological characteristics of the land, but also of the historical monuments that tourists come to see. One of the serious problems in the protection of cultural and historical heritage is the lack of plans to combat climate change at the national level, including specific measures for heritage, which makes historical and cultural monuments even more vulnerable. The disintegration and erosion of historic monuments, caused by heavy and acid rainfall, can affect even the strongest materials, including marble. In order to monitor the impact of climate change, in order to monitor heritage objects, it is necessary for researchers and administrators of historical and cultural heritage to apply detailed monitoring methods, through the development of new investigative technologies.
