Abstract

The efficient use of technical resources has a direct impact on the key performance indicators of an enterprise. The technical condition and intensity of equipment use ultimately determines the size of output and the degree of profitability of a business. The effective management of fixed assets is of particular relevance to agriculture, forestry and fisheries enterprises, whose operations are heavily influenced by external factors that cannot be managed. The most complete use of production capacity leads to a decrease in the proportion of fixed costs in the total amount of costs of the enterprise. As a consequence, it creates the conditions for long-term business development without additional capital investment and in a shorter timeframe. This publication is an in-depth analysis and quantitative measurement of the factors that determine the dynamics of the key performance indicator - sales revenue of enterprises in agriculture, forestry and fisheries (by applying the method of correlation analysis). The source data for the analysis were official data of the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova for 7 years (period 2015-2021). The results of the correlation analysis showed that the dynamics of sales revenues depend on the changes of the factors included in the economic model by 97.94%, which allows us to conclude that the results obtained are of high practical significance.
