Abstract:
The paper presents the results obtained following a complex study on the phytopathogenic organism Monilinia laxa (popularly called monilian burn, and/or brown fruit rot) on the cherry tree culture. The research was carried out in the field - in the cherry tree plantation (experimental stationary from "Star Agro Groop" LLC from Ustia village, Criuleni district) and laboratory conditions - diagnosis of samples by methods: isolation on PDA and wet room, with recording the test result after different time intervals. With a tendency to estimate the level of pathogenesis and the manifestation of pathogen symptoms on the plants included in the study, during the vegetation period selected samples were collected from 8 cherry varieties: 35 samples from sector I (established from the varieties: Kordia, Regina, Stella, Ferrovia and Skeena), 21 samples from sector II (with varieties: Early Star, Samba, Black Star).
