Abstract

Communication, like its specialized form – information, is essentially a transfer of meanings. We receive, collect, process, extract, or consume information when we talk to someone, when we contemplate an object of art, we listen to music, or when we read, when listen to a verbal communication or when we simply look at what is going on, when we discuss or write, when we think whether to sit closer or further away from someone, to touch something or someone etc. Everything signifies, including pure physical presence, the body.
