The team of the National Center for Space Technologies of the Technical University of Moldova (TUM) was selected by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and the Japan Aerospace Agency (JAXA) for the 4th round of the KiboCUBE Program for the launch of the TUMnanoSAT nanosatellite from the International Space Station (ISS). In this paper, an overview of the educational and scientific mission of TUMnanoSAT, the impact on the system design and the educational opportunities are presented. The primary mission of the TUMnanoSAT was to provide hands-on experience to students in designing, building, and testing a space system with a specific task/mission. This paper presents an overview of the TUMnanoSAT designed at the TUM and included in KiboCube Program. There are described educational missions of the nanosatellite and it is given an overall systems overview, including: structure, electrical power supply, processing and data management and telemetry communicationsen_US
