The results of this research show that these two countries are characterized by different directions of modifications of number of corporate insolvencies during the analysed period, excepting 2020 year, when the COVID-19 pandemic had a major impact. At the same time, the performed econometric analysis, shows that the Republic of Moldova and Ukrainian models have a relatively high adjustment to the empirical data, demonstrating the possibility to forecast the number of corporate insolvencies. Regarding the legislative regulations, can be remarked that the main differences established in the legislation of these two countries relate to the amount and term of non-payment of debts.
