dc.description.abstractThe paper reviews the need of customs control for dual-use goods and services, including those that belong to medicine, pharmaceuticals, and micro-nanoelectronics. In this regard, a project is ongoing in the Republic of Moldova, with the aim to develop a practical guide in line with requirements on export control systems of the World Customs Organization. The guide is intended for customs service employees, responsible government agencies, universities, academic institutions and relevant business communities involved in international trade of strategic goods. It will enhance the effectiveness of export control systems of dual-use items, combat the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and related materials, equipment and technologies as well as assist students in training.en_US
