Abstract:
Innovation is perceived as the main driver of economic growth in today's global economy. By means of introducing innovations in practice, can be gotten products with improved quality characteristics, new, more efficient and cleaner (ecological) production processes, higher quality services, improved business management system models, modern workforce management methods etc. The innovation activities of an economic entity have a particular and obvious impact on company competitiveness. This activity ensures the company a higher level of competitiveness. To ensure the activity of innovation, the enterprise must make certain investments, which will be provided at the expense of increasing sales volume or at the expense of reducing production costs, determined by increasing competitiveness based on innovation. Nowadays, when innovations largely dictate the sustainable economic growth of any country and contribute to raising the living standards of the population, in the Republic of Moldova emphasis is placed on research and innovation, as a major public interest imperative for the country's development.
