Abstract

Cultural heritage is a legacy that should deserve. What unites all these artifacts and manifestations related to the field of cultural heritage is the concept of cultural significance. This concept is defined as aesthetic, historical, scientific or social value, for past, present or future generations. The cultural significance of an object, site or element of intangible heritage results from the conglomeration of values attributed to it. These values include both those established by experts (historians, art historians, archaeologists, architects, etc.) and the social or economic values brought into discussion more recently by the new actors / intervenors.
