Abstract:
The paper describes the application of electrochemical processes in nanotechnologies to obtain different nanoscale objects with morphology according to design and controlled positioning. It was explained the mechanism of "jumping electrodeposition", which allows the deposition of a monolayer of Au points. The electrochemical methods addressed in this paper can be used for estimating the conductivity of semiconductor nanostructures. It is demonstrated that the combination of electrochemical nanostructuring of semiconductor substrates and the electrochemical deposition of metals is an effective tool for manufacturing new hybrid metal-semiconductor nanoarchitectures for various electronic and photonic applications.
