Abstract: 
Cultural heritage is a major component of socio-economic development both globally and nationally and locally. This article analyzes the evolution of the registration of cultural heritage worldwide. Following the analysis of registrations by regions, most objects are registered in Europe and North America with a share of 55% of the total registered cultural heritage. Another important aspect is that the cultural real estate worldwide has a share of 60-80% of the total cultural heritage registered worldwide. Hence the economic importance of cultural and architectural monuments and the analysis of their economic potential. From the point of view of
economic importance, cultural goods influence economic, social and environmental development.
