Valorificarea patrimoniului cultural – element de identitate locală și regională, în scopul dezvoltării teritoriale durabile

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of natural and cultural heritage, from natural elements to historical sites, in the sustainable territorial development of the Republic of Moldova. This is possible through the need to preserve this heritage as a common good of all, both in urban and rural areas. Culture as a factor of sustainable development can increase the local and regional identity and specificity, which implies the need to protect the cultural heritage and to make the community aware of its value. The concentration of the cultural offer at present, takes place in only a few localities in the country, and does not contribute to the sustainable development of the other localities. The expansion of cultural offerings would increase the attractiveness of the territory and the positive impact on the creation of new jobs, would contribute to economic development and the revitalization of unused spaces.
