Abstract:
The concept of cultural diversity is at the heart of the European authorities and institutions. In recent years, the EU has shown a renewed interest in the cultural sector, in promoting social cohesion, in protecting all cultural monuments, regardless of their form, but at the same time recognizing its important economic role for this sector. The EU's commitment to mainstream culture in all policy areas is also clearly defined, with a particular focus on the protection of the built cultural heritage and its diversity. The built cultural heritage of Europe is the expression of the historical heritage and cultural identity of all the peoples of this continent, and its protection is in the general interest of all. To this end, the EU institutions, which qualify the built heritage as a unique value, have contributed, continue to contribute and will continue to contribute with various means to the evolution of the degraded cultural heritage built, which must be restored, improved and protected nationally and internationally. This article is scientific research in order to identify all the authorities and institutions of the European Union, which have responsibilities in the protection of the built cultural heritage, which apply various policies, methods and means for this purpose.
