Abstract:
The Republic of Moldova is one of the oldest wine-growing regions in Europe, with a wine-growing tradition of over 2000 years. According to the National Bank of Moldova, the Republic of Moldova has a vineyard area of about 117,5 thousand hectares, and grapes are one of the country's main agricultural crops. In the Republic of Moldova, there are numerous viticultural regions and micro-regions, each with its unique characteristics of soil, climate and grape varieties.
