Abstract:
The phenomenal and rapid development of the services sector on the basis of the scientific and technological revolution demonstrates the growing economic importance of services in the world. Transformation processes in this sector affect not only the stages of production of goods and services, but also the acceleration of personal needs of society. The law of the acceleration of needs, today manifests itself not only in the emergence of new needs, the expansion of their volume, but also in the change of their structure both in the direction of increasing the share of social needs of society, and in the direction of increasing the need for various forms of services for personal consumption. Intensive use of modern achievements of science leads to a contradictory reorganization of the service sector and the search for the most appropriate forms of functioning and development. Hence, there is a particular relevance of research and analysis of the problems of economic efficiency of the services sector in the Republic of Moldova.
