Abstract:
Currently in the Republic of Moldova, there is no code of ethics for evaluators, the regulations are made based on law no. 989, of 18-04-2002, regarding the evaluation activity. We mention that the organizations regulating the activity of evaluators from various countries have approved either the Rules of Business and Professional Ethics or the Code of Professional Ethics of Evaluators. The rules of the Code are binding on appraisers and experts, members of the Associations of Professional Appraisers (AEP) and recommendation for legal entities authorized to conclude contracts for evaluation, with which the evaluators-members of AEP have concluded employment contracts. Codes of professional ethics include a description of what evaluators should do in their professional practice and what should not be done in accordance with professional ethics. They define the criteria for recognizing an evaluator's professional conduct as unethical or unethical.
