Abstract: 
The research was carried out in SRL "Prodcar" from Negureni village, Telenești district, during the years 2016-2018. The apple orchard was planted in 2014, with 2-year-old trees. 4 apple varieties recently introduced in the intensive culture system were studied, namely Granny Smith, Gala Buckeye Simmons, Red Velox and Golden Delicious Reinders, grafted on M9 rootstock, at a distance of 3.2 x 0.8 m (3900 trees /Ha). The Granny Smith variety, approved in the Republic of Moldova in 2015 for the southern fruit-growing area, served as a witness.
