Abstract:
The quantum Zeno effect is one of the most beautiful and intriguing effects recently discovered in quantum mechanics. This effect was named after the Greek philosopher Zeno of Elea (c.495 - c. 430 BC). The paper highlights the essence of this phenomenon and some of its possible macroscopic manifestations.
