dc.description.abstractWooden architecture is a unique layer of international cultural heritage. The author of the article, using examples of lost churches of the 17th – 19th centuries, analyze the situation in the field of protection, restoration and study of wooden architecture of Republic of Moldova. The preservation of architectural monuments of wooden architecture that are in regional or municipal ownership, in conditions of scarce regional and local budgets is a very difficult task. Based on the current situation of the Republic of Moldova the author made conclusions aimed at preserving the monuments of wooden architecture.en_US
